Can Autism be indicated at birth?

I know this is Daily Heil and therefore scaremongering, but Jonah was born with a ‘ragged placenta’ and my midwives flagged it up, as they suspected I may have been having crafty fags throughout his pregnancy – I didn’t. It is an early and reliable indicator of autistic spectrum disorders.
