Giving Mother Nature a helping hand means all too human frailty

This article, in the Daily Heil suggests fertility treatment offered to men with ‘extreme fertility issues’  is linked to a fourfold risk of the child developing severe autism.

The study found the extra risk in babies born after ICSI treatment, where a sperm is injected into the egg to compensate for low sperm count or poor quality sperm.

It is unclear whether the higher risk is triggered by men with sperm damage passing on a higher rate of genetic abnormalities.

Another good case for letting nature take its course, perhaps? Or do I just sound like a Daily Mail reader here? You decide…
