Shout at your kids? Maybe you have the angry mum gene.

I don’t believe in free will. I believe that we’re so hamstrung by our genes and environment that we’re incapable of making independent choices. This article, from the Huffington Post, that suggests women who shout at their children may be more genetically disposed to do so, is more evidence for that. Which absolves most of us, I should think.

However, my son clearly has a “repeat behaviour if mum shouts” gene, so I’m learning to quell my natural predisposition to the best of my abilities.
