A laissez faire approach to early years
Forget ABCs and 123s for toddlers. It’s more important that they know how to do their coat up, according to this new study of childcare workers, who believe that free-flow play is the best approach to early years teaching.
Leaving kids alone to grasp the basics of social interaction rather than wasting their time and attention spans on formal learning is thought to be the key for long term academic success.
So you can guiltlessly ditch the flash cards, and concentrate on playdough instead without fear for your offspring’s future Oxbridge entrance. Thank fuck for that!
