I’m not interested in war. It happens to other people in other places, who don’t look like me. I’m not interested in war. I have no power to do anything about it. It happens over silly things, things which I don’t understand. I’m not interested in war. I’m too busy getting by, keeping my head above water, looking after my kids, getting a manicure. I’m not interested in war. It was something my grandparents lived through. I had to study it at school. It creates havoc, misery, hunger, mental illness, injury, death. I’m not interested in war. It’s in the news too much. It’s ubiquity means I’ve become numb. There’s always a war. It’s hard to keep up. I’m not interested in war. But I am interested in the future and I am interested in children. Children who are wilfully injured, killed, frightened; their parents, siblings, friends fighting, injured, killed, angry; their homes destroyed. I am not interested in living in a world where that is allowed to happen. Because it is a world that is perpetuating more war. Which I’m definitely not interested in. And I am not interested a government that does nothing to help. Watch this video. Vote with your interest. Thank you.
