My skin’s been my nemesis the whole of my life. I was overtreated with anti-biotics as a teen, and so my adult existence has been plagued with poor gut health, eczema (which I never suffered as a child), and latterly, some kind of folliculitis that may be bacterial, fungal or something equally unpleasant (mites?) that means my face is rarely without a blemish. On bad days this has upset me, but as a generally optimistic person, I have tried every which routine under the sun, settling for many years on African black soap, sulphur, manuka honey cream and aloe vera to keep it under control, plastering Max Factor Miracle Touch on my face to get through a day at the office, and wearing a mineral sunscreen year round (which doesn’t seem to have mitigated the lines on my overexpressive forehead.
I had these stapled up with Botox at 40, but now, as my perma-grimace seems to have given way to an expression of mild bemusement, I have ceased operation and instead attempt to stave off the onwards march of time with a Morpheus 8 treatment that left me with tiny dots for a few days and brought out everything living inside my skin to the surface. (YUCK!).
Suffice it to say, I’m sat here typing with a 300 watt red light (purchased off Amazon) yellow googles and Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream plastered all over my face. The idea behind this is actually drowning – if it’s mites causing the irritation (we all have them, some of us are just more sensitive to their excrement than others), then the sticky substance will slow them in their tracks, stop them from mating and therefore shitting and hopefully cleaning up my pores that way. I look hilarious, sound crazy and feel disgusting. BUT, it WILL be worth it. At least I hope so.
I will send the after shots when I have them, but this is me mid treatment.

Watch how I cover it all up here

PS. I am having great results on a red light bandage bought for @Climbingluca when he bust a ligament in his little finger and thereafter used on my keyboard- strained wrists while watching telly (scrolling aimlessly) to much actual pain relief! Have recommended to my 78 year old mother for her arthritic knees!
